Apprenticeship Summary

To manage and coordinate the day to day running of the Skatepark ensuring that it is open and available to use for the local community, maximising income and fund raising opportunities to organise events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the Skatepark is open and ready for business for each advertised session or event, including the organisation of cleaning and Health & Safety requirements

  • To manage the work of a team of skatepark marshals and help to co-ordinate their weekly hours

  • To ensure that all skatepark marshals are adequately trained to an acceptable level, commensurate with the duties they perform

  • To ensure that there is always adequate first aid trained staff on duty for every session or event

  • To monitor the performance of park marshals and take the necessary action to correct performance, informing the Manager as required

  • To manage the park cash handling requirements for all sessions and events

  • To ensure that skatepark is always used in a safe and proper manner at all times ensuring the users obey all the rules of the park

  • To ensure that the Health and Safety Policy is adhered to at all times

  • To ensure that all ramps are well maintained and checked before every session and event

  • To liaise with the Manager on a regular basis dealing effectively with any problems and complaints that may arise

  • To promote good customer relations and compliance with all statutory provision and company policies relating to employment

  • To carry out other duties within the competence of the post holder that may be required, reasonably, from time to time

  • Take responsibility for own job-related and personal development

  • Use available resources efficiently and effectively

  • Apply Health and Safety related good working practice

  • Attend and contribute to Team Meetings as and when requested
